The first blog by a British prisoner. Variously described as being "obviously extremely intelligent" (Michael Gove), "the most interesting interview I have ever done" (Michael Portillo), and a "fully paid up member of the awkward squad" (Parole Board), I try to generate debate around the moral and political nexus that is imprisonment. Imprisoned between ages 14 to 47, released on Licence in August 2012

Editor's note
Thank you for all the kind messages of support. I am visiting Ben this weekend and will pass them on.
In response to many requests, a petition is being drafted for the No 10 website (an E petition). It will be called ReleaseBen. I am working with 'Jailhouselawywer' and as soon as we have the link it will be posted here. Watch this space!
That is excellent news, thank you for effort and I shall sign as soon as possible and encourage others to do so too. If you can get it publicised in the Guardian too that would help, I will try and inject the poll into any even slightly relevant discussions on the comments section as soon as there is a weblink.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff, you have a paypal link for contributions to some fund or other worth supporting.........
ReplyDeleteExcellent news, Ben. I'll be sure to sign and - as ever - I am cheering for you. Best, Deb
ReplyDeleteMay I just add my thanks and best wishes to all the above and for the revelation and privilege of being allowed into Ben's life.
ReplyDeleteBen, you are amazing, but I am sure you know that already! You have attracted a lot of support out here and we're all rooting for you. I'm sure there will be a stampede to sign your petition....
