The first blog by a British prisoner. Variously described as being "obviously extremely intelligent" (Michael Gove), "the most interesting interview I have ever done" (Michael Portillo), and a "fully paid up member of the awkward squad" (Parole Board), I try to generate debate around the moral and political nexus that is imprisonment. Imprisoned between ages 14 to 47, released on Licence in August 2012
I checked fb and saw that you have got a parole hearing in May (three months time) keep going Ben, be cool and sweet to them in May and I am sure things will start to change.
ReplyDeleteYou have many supporters and admirers and have done really good and I mean really good work raising awareness and reaching out to people.
Your writing and your blog shows such artist flare and brilliance, that is why there are so many of us who care about you, keep going Ben, you are not alone ... We love you, despite knowing what you did, we still care because you care and you keep trying to do good and be on the side of good. Best wishes, thinking of you xxx
Actually, it says only a possibility of a hearing in May. Reading on, it looks like they said this for January too, but that has been and gone. They seem to be fobbing Ben off, and I will write that letter...
