The first blog by a British prisoner. Variously described as being "obviously extremely intelligent" (Michael Gove), "the most interesting interview I have ever done" (Michael Portillo), and a "fully paid up member of the awkward squad" (Parole Board), I try to generate debate around the moral and political nexus that is imprisonment. Imprisoned between ages 14 to 47, released on Licence in August 2012

Release Photo
The photo of my release taken by my brother, to the great annoyance of the Gatehouse screws!
Keeping you locked away for over 30years, you would of thought the bastards could of pushed your trolley out to the damn car park for you? I feel at ease now, knowing that you are finally outside, in our world!
lol Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it is illegal to take and publish photos of prisons for security reasons.
ReplyDeleteYep, illegal as hell!
DeleteHey - it's not a photo of a prison it is a photo of an EX prisoner. Good luck Ben
ReplyDeleteTo annoy the Guardian readers you could call it "The long walk to freedom"
