If anything would make him turn back to drugs through boredom and isolation it's this!Juleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16194966950654510250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3184990032979540229.post-34658742290913327392011-08-11T20:27:05.547+01:002011-08-11T20:27:05.547+01:00I agree, tallguy, is there a godforsaken probation...I agree, tallguy, is there a godforsaken probation officer to answer this....it is about the only useful thing they do, and they can't even do that properly??????Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3184990032979540229.post-51929399889767544942011-08-11T18:03:19.472+01:002011-08-11T18:03:19.472+01:00@anon 7.29

Given five years it should definitely be possible to find accommodation for that fixed date. Especially as if he has been in prison for five years and has no-one willing to take him in he probably has limited connection to any one area so is fairly flexible.tallguynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3184990032979540229.post-69093381401281565292011-08-10T22:31:17.702+01:002011-08-10T22:31:17.702+01:00Point is, the prison it not doing its job properly...Point is, the prison it not doing its job properly. I once worked at Erlestoke and remember a prisoner in Education sitting in the corridor on the floor, with a cardboard notice saying "hungry and homeless". He said he was practising for the following week when he would be on the street, released with forty quid, a bus ticket, and his belongings in a bag with HMP Prison Service written on it. The admin lady, not employed by the prison service, contacted the Salvation Army and got him somewhere to stay. But the prison service should have done that!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3184990032979540229.post-54160619627612954192011-08-10T21:48:08.300+01:002011-08-10T21:48:08.300+01:00Anonymous 7.29pm - there are nowhere near enough p...Anonymous 7.29pm - there are nowhere near enough places in hostels, hence the number of homeless people forced to sleep rough.Juleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16194966950654510250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3184990032979540229.post-58429002365674813062011-08-10T19:29:35.603+01:002011-08-10T19:29:35.603+01:00Why can't he go to a hostel, and be re-housed ...Why can't he go to a hostel, and be re-housed from there?

To be fair, it is hard for everyone out here too, to buy a very small house round here,i would need to earn the thick end of 60-70K to do so. The council/housing associations have long waiting lists, private rent is expensive.....and so it goes on.....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3184990032979540229.post-71615785089602163532011-08-10T11:42:22.443+01:002011-08-10T11:42:22.443+01:00Only some days?
