Inside Time

The wider world may be surprised to know that

Prisoners have their own national monthly newspaper.

This was created by the New Bridge charity in the wake of the 1990 riots as a channel for prisoners’ voices. Don't worry, there's no taxpayer money involved, it has grown through advertising revenue and subscriptions and remains a not-for-profit enterprise.

So if you want a larger fix of prison life than I can offer, point your browser to insidetime.org. If you search for me on their site you will also have the chance to be annoyed by some of the articles I have written over the last couple of years.

  1. try ben's article "as human as our victims". It is much more thoughtful than his "bloody victims" piece!

  2. Ben, thanks for the thought-provoking blog and tip about insidetime.org.

Have you ever had chance to look at the Howard League for Penal Reform's website? You get a mention on the Director's blog at http://www.howardleague.org/francescrookblog/prisoner-blog-creating-a-stir
