Hip Hip for the Doc!

After a full hour of mind-bending tedium in the woodwork shop, the GP has rescued me from the perils of sandpapering.
It seems that I'm such a physical wreck that manual labour and I should part company for the time being. Damn...
Note to future employers: Just don't expect me to lug stuff about or dig ditches. Apart from that, I'm your man. And reasonably priced as well!

  1. Hope it works out for you in 2012 Ben, I wish you well, Happy New Year!

Thanks for all of last years blogging! ( And the year before that too!) Its been great getting to know you and learning all about prison life (and more) through the blog, its opened up a new world to me, and I am grateful for that. xx love from Sophie

  2. I've been a follower of your blog for some time, and I think this post raises an interesting point as you near what looks to be a well overdue and deserved release. That point is that in the outside world finding interesting, challenging and rewarding work which is also economically sustainable is a massive challenge, and for many impossible. I'm interested in how the system (and more importantly you) prepare yourself for this reality. I fear for you that there will be more immediate openings for ditch diggers than broadsheet news editors, for example. I wish you all the best, and thanks for the insight and continual efforts you make with your blog.
